How is the economic horizon shaping up for the New Year? Join us for an insightful lunch program on the 2026 economic forecast for Silicon Valley presented by Abigail Raisz, a distinguished economist from the Bay Area Council Economic Institute.

Abby Raisz is a Vice President of Research at the Bay Area Council Economic Institute, where she leads studies, develops research methods, and designs interactive data tools on the region's housing trends, demographics, transportation systems, and post-pandemic economic recovery. Past projects include analyses of high-tech employment and wages in the United States, an index tracking post-pandemic recovery across the nation's 25 largest regions, and a widely covered 2025 study on the economic impact of mass deportation in California, where she was featured in Bloomberg, CNN, NPR, the Los Angeles Times, and the San Francisco Chronicle.

Previously, Abby conducted research for the UMass Donahue Institute's Economic and Public Policy Research Group. Abby grew up in Boston, and received a B.A. in Geography and Urban Studies, with a specialization in Geographic Information Systems (GIS) from Macalester College in St. Paul, MN.
